Ok here are 2 that I know.

A box with out hinges keyhole nor lid yet inside a golden treasure is hid. What am I.

2nd riddle

You are in a room. A room with 4 walls a ceiling and a floor. In this room are 2 doors. One is the door of life and the other is the door of death. They are the exact same size, shape, color, and design. They are the same in every conceivable way. But you don’t know witch one leads to life or death. Also in this room are 2 people. One always tells the truth and the other always lies. But again you do not know witch of the 2 always lies or always tells the truth. You get to ask 2 questions. So what are your 2 and only 2 questions? The object is to get thru the door of life.

Assuming that these two people know which door is which, ask one of them how many walls are in the room. Then ask which door is the door of life. If he responded other than four, go in the door he didn't state as the door of life. Or if he responded four, go in the door he stated.

Okay, new riddle. You're in a a bedroom with three light switches. You know for sure that one of them turns on a light in another bedroom. You have no way of knowing whether the light is on from the bedroom with the light switches. How is it possible to leave the bedroom with the light switches only once and definitely know which switch turns on the light.

You are exactly right rj25 but did you get the first one?
on Nov 06, 2004
Oh, didn't catch that one at first. A few answers since you didn't specify: Either a box, more specifically one without hinges, keyhole or lid. Or (admittedly looked this one up online as I'm not much a fan of that type of riddle), an egg, or an orange both of which are getting rather lenient on the definitions of a 'box'.

P.S. - In addition to my riddle, you're alone, so no 'phoning a friend' allowed.
